Portland police are looking for a woman who reportedly stabbed another woman for no reason in the Centennial neighborhood Thursday, Dec. 27.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, was stabbed at about 9 p.m. on Southeast 174th Avenue just south of Stark Street, said Sgt. Pete Simpson, Portland police spokesman. She has been transported to a Portland hospital for what is described as a non-life threatening stab wound.
The victim told police that the suspect walked up to her and stabbed her without provocation. The suspect is described as a stocky 5-foot-7-inch tall woman of unknown race who was wearing all dark clothing.
Officers, including a police bureaus K-9 Unit, conducted an extensive search of the neighborhood, but did not find anyone matching that description.
Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call assault detectives at 503-823-0400.
