Bob Jones University

Kaleb Kittrell, a sophomore biblical counseling major from Gresham, was named to the spring 2013 dean’s list at Bob Jones University.

To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn at least a 3.0 grade point average.

In addition, Kittrell is a recipient of the BJU Academic Excellence and Leadership Award, which recognizes student leaders who achieve an ACT score above 25 before entering college and maintain a 3.2 GPA during their college years.

The award provides up to $1,500 financial aid per year.

Willamette College of Law

Julia D’Ann Baker, a 2006 graduate of Gresham High School, graduated Monday, May 13, from Willamette College of Law in Salem with her doctorate of jurisprudence. 

She interned at the Marion County district attorney’s Office for the past two years.

St. Olaf College

Emily Shimkus of Portland recently graduated from St. Olaf College with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

She is the daughter of William and Bette Shimkus.
