Eat pancakes with Corbett firefighters
Blueberry pancakes are optional at Multnomah County Rural Fire Protection District No. 14s annual old fashioned fire house pancake breakfast.
The event runs from 7:30-11:30 a.m. June 1 in Corbett at the main fire station, 36930 East Historic Columbia River Highway.
Everyone is invited to this family event to have breakfast, ride on fire equipment, see Sparky the Fire Dog and get balloons for kids of all ages.
There will be items available for silent bidding as well as door prizes that will be given away.
Proceeds from the breakfast will fund the Ferd Riehl Scholarship, given annually to a graduating high school senior.
Ferd was a pioneer member of the department from 1949 until his retirement in 1995, and the scholarship is the departments way of honoring his many years of volunteer service.
The breakfast costs $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 9 and younger.
