One man has been treated for a gunshot wound and police are trying to track down the person who shot him early Sunday.
Gresham police were dispatched to a 3:45 a.m. report of shots fired and a man screaming in the 21700 block of Southeast Alder Street on Sunday, June 2, said Lt. Claudio Grandjean, Gresham police spokesman.
There police found a 32-year-old Vancouver man with a non-life threatening gunshot wound and paramedics transported him to Legacy Emanuel Hospital & Health Center for treatment.
The suspect had fled the scene, but while detectives investigated, Portland Police officers found the suspect vehicle abandoned near Southeast Powell Boulevard and Interstate 205 following a minor crash involving only the suspect's car.
But the suspect had fled the scene and remains at large. Detectives continue to investigate and have not yet released the victim's name.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Gresham police tip line at 503-618-2719 or 888-989-3505.
