Deputies looking for third suspect chased along highway, through yard
Clackamas County deputies arrested two men and were still searching for another man from the unincorporated area of North Clackamas after a chase on Friday involving a reportedly stolen vehicle.
On Dec. 28 at about 10:50 a.m., near the intersection of highways 212 and 26, a Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputy attempted to stop a white 1999 Volkswagen Passat after seeing the driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
Police say the driver immediately sped off and attempted to elude the deputy. The driver of the car pulled into a driveway near Southeast Waybill Road and Orient Drive a short while later.
The driver and both passengers attempted to elude the deputy on foot running through the yard and into the surrounding area.
The deputy learned the car was stolen out of Southest Portland on Dec. 12.
Deputies from Clackamas County, Multnomah County and officers from the Sandy Police Department, with help from a Clackamas County police dog, searched the area and found the driver and one passenger. The other passenger remains at large.
The driver, Trevor A. Freauff, 22, of Clackamas, reportedly refused to follow officer's commands and was bitten by the dog. He was treated for dog bite wounds at a local hospital and booked into the Clackamas County Jail, where he's being held on $82,500 bail on three counts of recklessly endangering another person, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reckless driving, two count of attempt to elude a police officer, being an ex-con in possession of a firearm and violating his parole on an unspecified crime.
The passenger, Joshua N. Biggs, 25, of Portland, is being held on $26,000 bail at the Clackamas County Jail on allegations of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, attempt to elude a police officer and third-degree theft.
Deputies are still looking for the second passenger. He has been tentatively identified as Christopher Allen Freauff, 27, of Clackamas. Freauff is a 5-foot-11-inch tall Caucasian male with a thin build, brown hair and was wearing all dark clothing.
Anyone who sees him should call 911.
