A missing and endangered young woman who disappeared from the Wood Village Walmart on Monday, March 25, has been found safe.

At about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, Portland police followed up on a tip called in by a person who thought they recognized a woman as Jessica Phillips, 26, of Auburn, Wash.

She was last seen leaving the Wood Village Walmart, 23500 N.E. Sandy Blvd., at about 2 p.m. on Monday,

She’d come down for the day with her mother and other relatives from Auburn but became separated in the store. Her relatives reported her missing at 3:46 p.m.

Because she requires medications, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office considered her endangered and alerted the media to ask for the public's help finding her.

Searchers spent several hours looking for the woman but suspended their efforts later that night. The following afternoon, a person reported seeing a woman who looked like missing person featured on the news.

Police found Phillips near the corner of North Lombard Street and Emerald Avenue.

She is safe, in good condition and has been reunited with her family, said Lt. Steve Alexander, sheriff's office spokesman.
