Firefighters extinguished a house fire in Eagle Creek on Thursday night.
At 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, the Boring Fire District responded to a report of a residential fire in the 24000 block of Southeast Filbert Road and arrived to fine a house with smoke coming form the second floor, said Tammy Owen, district spokeswoman.
A total of 17 firefighters from Boring, Sandy and Estacada put out the fire, along with help from three commanders.
The two homeowners told firefighters they heard a popping sound and a short time later, discovered smoke upstairs. They escaped without injury.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation and no damage estimates are available yet.
